Maze Runner

The book "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner is about a boy named Thomas that comes to a place called the glade with no memory of his past when strange things start to happen and problems arise. He has small enemies within the glade but even more in the terrible maze that surrounds it. In the book the gladers have many different feelings about their pasts  and getting everyones old lives and memories back.
In the book Thomas has many different feelings about his situation with his loss of memory. An example is in the beginning how he thinks "My name is Thomas, he thought. That ... that was the only thing he could remember about his life." This shows how confused he was when he was first introduced to the glade. Another example of his feelings is when he starts crying after talking to Chuck about their families. This shows how lonely he feels and how he longs to be  with his family in the place where he belongs .  Another example is how he regards his main enemy inside the glade named Gally with not anger but with pity because he saw Thomas in a vision after he was stung by a griever. This shows Thomas' main feelings about his memory and past throughout the course of the book.
In the book not only Thomas but many other characters experienced different feelings about their lost memories and forgotten pasts. An example of this is how emotional Chuck got while talking with Thomas about their possible pasts. Another example is how Gally Thomas' enemy in the book feels very suspicious about Thomas because he saw him in a vision with the creators of their prison. Thomas realizes this and feels guilty about what he might have done so he tries to make up for it. One more example is how Newt treats him fairly well but sort of suspiciously it is show in the book when Newt tells him to leave their important meetings because he thinks that Gally may be onto something. This shows the different feelings of some of the books secondary characters about how their forgotten memories have affected them.
This shows the different feelings about their past and the desire to remember for some of  the different characters in the book "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner and how they affected themselves and the other characters around them by their feelings about their pasts.

White Fang Reading Response

The book "White Fang" by the author Jack London is a book that I have read many times and once over this summer vacation. The book is about a wolf named White Fang who was separated from his parents at youth and was taken in by a group of native americans and learned the rules of survival then was given to a cruel man named Beauty Smith who found his dark side and forced him to fight. Later he is rescued by a kind man who helps him come back to who he once was, then at the end of the book white fang gets shot saving his new human family but persevires and survives.
One important thing that I learned from this book is that no matter how far beyond help people think you are you can always come back and change into whoever or whatever you were meant to be. An example of this happening in the book is when White Fang is saved from Beauty Smith and no matter how much he hurt his owners and gave them a hard time they wouldn't give up on him and brought him back to reality. A second piece of evidence is that he formed such a strong bond with his new owner that he wouldn't even let him out of his sight, this shows how much he changed because only weeks before he hated the world and wanted to be far away from everything. This shows how much he changed throughout the book.
Another important thing that i discovered by reading the book is how the people that you are aquainted with can affect you in posotive and negative ways. One example of this is how White Fang acted when he was with Beauty Smith compared with his new kind and loving owners that rescued him. Another example is how when he was with his parents he was forced to take care of himself and was taught to trust no one. These are the ways that I discovered that show how much someone can change compared to the people that they are with.
These are some of the different things that the book White Fang by Jack London has taught me over the many times that I have read it. This book has shown me and will show you some of the struggles a young wolf has to go through to survive and eventually thrive.
